Tim Maley
Board Vice President
Palo Verde Healthcare District

Tim Maley - Board Vice Presient

Tim was born in Indiana in 1952.  His father was an Army officer and as a result the family traveled quite a bit when he was younger.  For the most part, Tim was raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he graduated from High School in 1971.  He attended college for several years until one day he decided to join the United States Marine Corps.  He quit school and landed in California at boot camp at MCRD, San Diego, CA.  He graduated from boot camp and was immediately sent to Fort Gordon, Georgia, for Military Police School.

Tim's next assignment took him to 29 Palms, CA, home of the world's largest Marine Corps Base.  He served as a Military Policeman until he was released from the Corps in 1977.  Upon his discharge from active duty, he got a job with San Bernadino County as a Deputy Constable for the 29 Palms Judicial District.

In December 1977 Tim was hired as a cadet with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and reported to the CHP Academy for training.  His first duty station was in Indio, CA, and he subsequently spent the next 30 plus years of his life serving the citizens of the State of California in various locations throughout California.  Tim retired from the CHP as the Commander of the Blythe area in December 2007.

Tim is presently employed by the Palo Verde Valley Community Improvement Fund (PVVCIF) as the CEO.  He is married to his wife, Cheryl, who works for Palo Verde Transit.  Together they have a blended family of 5 adult children living all over the United States and abroad.  Tim was elected to the Palo Verde Healthcare District on November 4, 2008.
